A Bavarian Heer (Army) buckle, constructed of gilded brass, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of IN TREUE FEST (STEADFAST IN LOYALTY) with oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), demonstrating minor scratching and tarnishing with additional oxidation to the solder
