In silver, an eight pointed multi rayed star with a faceted design, the obverse consists of a four armed enameled red cross with a white enamelled central medallion inscribed FJ for Franz Joseph, both in silver gilt, with surrounded post war enameled green wreath denoting Lesser War Decoration, along with a double headed crowned eagle in dark blue
