Heather Lach

Hampton

Hello, my name is Heather, and I have been working at Tender Care Learning Centers since 2014. I graduated from Penn State with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. While exploring my career path, I volunteered and worked in a before- and after-school program and spent time during my internship shadowing an early intervention program. These experiences helped solidify my decision to pursue a career in early childhood education at Tender Care. I began my career as an older toddler teacher and later completed management development training, which led to my role as Assistant Director and eventually to my current position as Director. I spent my first five years at the McCandless site and have been at the Hampton location since 2019. My favorite part of working in early childhood education is watching children come full circle—from starting in our infant room and learning foundational skills, developing their unique personalities, and ultimately celebrating their Pre-K graduation. Hearing from parents that their child’s kindergarten teacher commented on how prepared they were is an incredibly fulfilling experience and makes me proud of my staff and the work we do as a school, knowing that our children are excelling. When I’m not at Tender Care, I enjoy traveling both domestically and internationally and spending time with my friends and family.
